8th graders- Do you want to travel to Spain and France? Join Mr. Brinker and Mrs. Beam during Spring Break of 2026! We will be taking a 10-day tour of France and Spain, including sightseeing, enjoying their delicious cuisine, exploring, and taking part in cultural experiences. If that all sounds amazing, contact Mrs. Beam at beamc@harpercreek.net or see her before school. This trip is open to ALL current 8th-12th graders- you do not have to be enrolled in the World Language program! We will also have informational packets available in the front office. Mr. Brinker will be hosting an informational meeting on Friday, February 6th at 7pm, after HS conferences if you want your parent/ guardian to have more in-person information!
Attention 8th-12th graders: are you interested in theater but not in being on stage? Would you like to meet some new people AND learn new skills? Consider joining the tech crew for our upcoming musical. There will be a meeting in Ms. Hurley’s room (120 at the high school) on February 20th after school. Attention 7th & 8th graders! Mark your calendars for our Valentine's Day Dance on Friday, February 14th from 3-5 pm in the cafeteria! Tickets are $5.00 and will be sold during lunch and at the door. The dress is casual, whatever you wear to school is fine, however, wear red or pink if you have it. Concessions will be available.
We are also having Spirit Days this week. Today is Twin Day, tomorrow is Pink Out, Thursday is Country vs. Preppy, and Friday, bring your blue and white!!

The 7A girls’ basketball team remains undefeated with a win on the road over league opponent Western 44-11. The girls had another amazing team win. They always have each other’s backs and play selflessly. Kinsey led the Beavers with 11 points, Lily with 9, Isa with two 3s and 8 points, and Aaliyah with a three-ball and 5 points. Riley Vaccaro and Kailey Feight had great games with deflections, assists, boards, and buckets! 7A is now 5-0 with their next game next Monday vs. Hastings at home.
The 7th grade B basketball team defeated Parma 26-9 to move their record to 5-0 on the season. Six different players scored in the game with the teams' focus on sharing the ball. Jazmin Landenberger led the team with 10 points. Adilyn Waterson scored 6. Hailey Green added 4 with Abby Miller, Brielle Fry, and Annabelle Shea chipping in with 2 each. Great game ladies! No practice tonight.
The 8th-grade girls' basketball teams hosted Jackson County Western last night. The B team worked hard but lost. Top scorers were Payton May with 4 points and Aubrey Corbin with 2 points. The A team also fell short of a win. The top scorers were Adeline Higgs with 14 points, Holland Van Dussen with 7 points, Ella Brannan and Alaina Kirkpatrick both had 6 points, and Anna Loritz had 2 points. The 8th-grade girls will travel to Hastings on Monday and then host Coldwater next Wednesday.
