Attention 7th & 8th graders! Mark your calendars for our Valentine's Day Dance on Friday, February 14th from 3-5 pm in the cafeteria! Tickets will be sold during lunch in February and will be available at the door.
During the first two weeks of February, the Student Council will be selling goodies at lunch to be delivered to your special Valentine. Whether it is your bestie, crush, or love of your life... let the Student Council brighten their day!
Students—Please remember that many classes of students are NWEA testing for the next couple of weeks. When you change classes, please be quiet and respectful in the hallways.
Reminder: You are not allowed to use your phone from bell to bell. If you are not feeling well, please let an adult know. Do Not Text your parents—that is using your phone.
Teachers- Please remember to give out LEAD tickets for following LEAD expectations. Students must deposit their tickets in the LEAD bin in the cafeteria to be in the running for cool prizes.
In sports, Congratulations to the MS Girls Swimming Team, Conference Champions, and to Zach Laupp, the MS Diving Conference Champion.
Good Luck to the following swimmers and divers who are heading to State this coming weekend: Luka Krasnopolskii, Zack Laupp, Taylor & Ella Dutkiewicz, Katie Duckworth, Myla Slayton, Ava Morris, Abigail Cook, Averie Morales, Eve Jerome, and Ava & Emma Kent.
The 8th grade girls' basketball teams traveled to Coldwater last night. The B team lost 11 to 24. The top scorers were Payton May and Maya Mattens, both with 4 points, and Aubrey Corbin, with 3 points. The A team played tough but also came up short, 28 to 36. The top scorers were Adeline Higgs, with 6 points, and Bristol Latimer, with 5 points. Ella Brannan, Alaina Kirkpatrick, and Holland Van Dusen each had 4 points, and Samiya Thompson had 3 points. The girls play at Pennfield tomorrow.
The 7th grade B team defeated Coldwater 36-12. The team played very well together throughout the game. Jazmin Landerberger led the team with 14 points. Abby Miller added 8. Adi Waterson and Hailey Green chipped in with 6. Bri Fry scored 2 as well. Next up is Pennfield tomorrow at home starting at 4. The 7th grade A Team defeated league opponent Coldwater 46 to 12. It was another great win for the Beavers with incredible team play. Isa Stanley led with a double-double of 10 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds. Lyla Zumer had a night with 10 points, and Peyton Bess played a solid game from start to finish. Kailey Feight snagged her first bucket of the season and Aaliyah Noel played tough defense. Beavers are 2-0 and are back in action tomorrow vs. Pennfield.
