Attention all theater lovers! Auditions for the spring musical are open to 6th-12th graders. They will be at the high school in early December. Audition packets MUST be picked up and completed to audition. There are musical excerpts to practice, so get your packets early! See the flyers around the school or email Ms. Hurley for more details. Teachers, please remember to give out LEAD tickets for following LEAD expectations. Students must deposit their tickets in the LEAD bin in the cafeteria to be in the running for cool prizes.
In sports- The boys’ basketball teams take on Gull Lake tonight. The 7th grade plays at home, and the 8th grade plays at Gull Lake.
This past Saturday the 7th and 8th grade Jr. Beaver’s Girls Basketball was in action.
7th grade lost to Mason in a nail-biter but bounced back to dominate Haslett. It was a great team win with stellar defense and great passing. It was awesome to see the girls come together as a team and improve on the day. 8th grade won both games this weekend winning by 2 points in overtime to Maple Valley and winning the second game against Eaton Rapids by 2 points. Defensive Player of the Day Bristol Latimer for her speed, steels, and rebounds. Offensive Players of the Day Holland Van Dussen & Ella Brannen for their aggressiveness and quick shots.
Are you interested in swimming being on the Middle School Swim Team and are in 6-8th grade? Stop in the office, pick up a flyer for information, and sign up. There will be a parent/student meeting on November 20th at the High School. If you already picked up a flyer, please stop in and add your name to the sign-up sheet.
