Student Council meeting next Tuesday, October 15th from 3-4 pm in the library. Please make transportation arrangements and speak with your coaches.
Are you interested in Chess? Mr. Wirtz will be holding a “Chess Club” see flyers posted throughout the school for more information. Any skill level is welcome.
Students-If you did not purchase a 23-24 yearbook and would like one, there are some available in the main office or library for $30.00. Check or cash only.
Do you like candy? Are you good at guessing? You should guess how much candy is in the big jar! Each guess will cost you $1. The guess that comes closest to the correct amount will win it all! You can buy guesses in the mornings before school from 7:15 until 7:35 outside the main office. The winner will be awarded their candy prize on Thursday afternoon. Good luck!
Attention 7th and 8th grade girls: Competitive cheer signups are on the counter in the main office. Sign up on the clipboard AND take a packet. Read the first page and give it to your parent/guardian and have a teacher fill out the recommendation form on the 2nd page. Tryouts will be Tuesday, October 22nd and Friday, October 25th from 3:15-4:45 pm in the Middle School Back gym.
7th & 8th grade boys basketball tryouts will begin Monday, October 21 right after school. You must have a physical on file in the office to try out.
Students and staff- The Charitable Union annual Coat Drive is on. There is a bin outside the Main Office. Please donate any new or gently used coats.
Make sure you’re putting your LEAD tickets in the bins in the cafeteria. Don’t miss out on being in a drawing for cool stuff. Make sure you get your tickets in and please be sure your first and last name are on the tickets. Teachers, please remember to hand out LEAD tickets.
In Sports-We have several additional runners to celebrate from Tuesdays meet in Parma. Katie Duckworth, Sophia Zima, Lyla Zumer and Blake Kane also had PR”s. Way to go!
The 8th grade football team remains undefeated at 5-0 by defeating the Pennfield Panthers yesterday 26-0. The defense was dominant all game and so was our offensive line, led by Carson Anderson, Camden Dell, Ryker Tullis, Dane Storey and Monte Shawver. Touchdowns were scored by Zander Zima, Bo Miller, Bryce Lofgren and Nate Miller. The Beavers will take on the Marshall Redhawks for the conference championship next Wednesday.
