A special Happy Birthday to everyone who is celebrating Birthdays over the break.

Spirit Week Today-- Cozy Christmas PJs.

Students, please clean out your locker before you leave today. Also, check lost and found if you are missing anything. Items will be donated over Christmas Break.

Attention skiers and snowboarders!  Be a part of the Harper Creek Ski Club and get a club card for discount rates on Wednesdays and Sundays at Bittersweet Ski Area.  Club cards are $32 and provide discount rates on daily lift tickets and equipment rental.  The Ski Club will also have a bus to provide transportation to Bittersweet Ski Area on Wednesdays in January and February.  You must be in 7^th or 8^th grade to ride the club bus.  Please see Mr. Crooks in room 220 (next to the turtle room) before or after school to get club forms and additional information.

Teachers, please remember to give out LEAD tickets for following LEAD expectations. Students must deposit their tickets in the LEAD bin in the cafeteria to be in the running for cool prizes. 

Attention students and staff! Holiday door decorating results are in! The winner of the Most original/unique design idea is…….Rockin’ Round the Christmas Tree, Ms. Stanton 6^th grade! The winner of the Most festive design idea is……Santa’s Workshop, The Student Support Office! And the winner for the Students’ Choice Most Favorite design is……..Gingerbread House, Ms. Baldwin 6^th grade! A few other designs made quite the impression as well. The honorable mentions are: Mr. Cavis’ – Kit Kat Santa design, Mrs. Lindsey’s – Hippopotamus for Christmas design, Mrs. Eddy’s – Elf on Anything but the Shelf design, and Ms. Jenkins’ – Polar Express Hallway Train design! Everyone did such a great job on all the designs and we can’t wait to do it again next year! Way to be in the holiday spirit HCMS!

In sports……… 

6^th 7^th & 8^th graders interested in Wrestling. There is a sign-up in the main office. You must have a physical on file. The first practice will be on January 6^th, right after school.

Any 5^th or 6^th Girls interested in Girls on the Run and want to sign up registration is now open with limited spots available. There are flyers in the office. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Baker in room 208 for more information.

Attention Students Every Friday in December we will be having Hot Chocolate and P.J.’s. You can wear your pajamas and buy a cup of Hot Chocolate in the concession between 7-7:30 am for $1.00.

We will be having Hat days on Fridays until winter break!  $1 to wear your hat. Must be purchased BEFORE first hour in varsity hall or in front of the main office. 

Students-There are free books in the library. Stop by, with permission from your teacher, and take a look.

In sports………Good Luck to our Robotics team who are in Muskegon today for their competition.

Cheerleaders have a competition in Concord tomorrow.  Good Luck girls.

Attention 7th and 8th-grade girls: Signups for middle school basketball are outside of Mr. McManus' room. Please sign up only yourself and print clearly. Tryouts will be held Monday, January 6th and you must have a physical on file at the time of tryouts. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Ries or Ms. Whitmyer. 

Any 7^th or 8th-grade girl who signed up for basketball, please go to the cafeteria for a short informational meeting immediately following announcements.

Unfortunately, our 7^th & 8^th Grade Harper Creek Middle School Student of the Month Breakfast was canceled today due to icy roads. It is rescheduled for tomorrow morning Friday, December 13, 2024 at 7:15AM. We hope that you will be able to join us in celebrating your child. If you cannot attend tomorrow, please plan to join us for the January Student of the Month Celebration on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
