Student Council meeting next Tuesday, October 15th from 3-4 pm in the library.  Please make transportation arrangements and speak with your coaches.

Are you interested in Chess? Mr. Wirtz will be holding a “Chess Club” see flyers posted throughout the school for more information. Any skill level is welcome.

Students-If you did not purchase a 23-24 yearbook and would like one, there are some available in the main office or library for $30.00. Check or cash only.

Do you like candy? Are you good at guessing? You should guess how much candy is in the big jar! Each guess will cost you $1. The guess that comes closest to the correct amount will win it all! You can buy guesses in the mornings before school from 7:15 until 7:35 outside the main office. The winner will be awarded their candy prize on Thursday afternoon. Good luck!

Attention 7th and 8th grade girls: Competitive cheer signups are on the counter in the main office. Sign up on the clipboard AND take a packet. Read the first page and give it to your parent/guardian and have a teacher fill out the recommendation form on the 2nd page. Tryouts will be Tuesday, October 22nd and Friday, October 25th from 3:15-4:45 pm in the Middle School Back gym. 

7th & 8th grade boys basketball tryouts will begin Monday, October 21 right after school. You must have a physical on file in the office to try out. 

Students and staff- The Charitable Union annual Coat Drive is on. There is a bin outside the Main Office. Please donate any new or gently used coats. 

Make sure you’re putting your LEAD tickets in the bins in the cafeteria. Don’t miss out on being in a drawing for cool stuff. Make sure you get your tickets in and please be sure your first and last name are on the tickets. Teachers, please remember to hand out LEAD tickets. 

In Sports-In volleyball action last night the 8B team lost, best servers were Ellie Madison and Aurora Allen. Most Digs went to Gabby Barroso. 7A Won, best server Annabelle Shea, most kills-Peyton Bess. Digs- Riley Vaccaro and Sophia Ruiz and assists-Lilyan Gandy. 7B won, MVP- Aaliyah Noel, best servers-Maggie Nulf and Leah Marshall. Best passers- Paris Macedo and Sarah Murphy. 8A won, best servers-Ryleigh Hunter, Kills- Ella Brannen and Holland VanDussen. Digs-Bristol Latimer , Paige Kapus and Presley Saylor.

The HCMS XC team traveled to Jackson Parma last night for the Western Middle School Top Run Invite. Out of 9 teams the boys took 3rd place and the girls took 2nd! The following boys received medals for being in the top 20: 5th place Cooper Monroe, 12th Jojo Ruble, 13th Blake Kane,  and 15th Jacob Gallagher.The following girls received medals for being in the top 20: 6th place Sophia Zima , 7th Alaina Kirkpatrick, 8th Mila Heil, 12th Anna Loritz,  14th Carsen Bunker, 19th Abby Miller. There were also some season and personal records.  Season Records-Cohen Bailey & Anna Loritz.Personal Records-   Zach Antes-  Jacob Gallagher,  Mason Johnson,  Patrick Klein, Max Loppnow, Cooper Monroe. Other school records were set by-  Lucas Russell, Carsen Bunker, Abby Cook,  Marissa Demorest, Alaina Kirkpatrick, Karson Martin, Abby Miller, Anya Shaw,   Piper Surls.Way to go HCMS XC team!  We will be traveling to Sturgis on Saturday morning for our next meet.
