Athletes must have an up to date physical turned in to try out. Physicals must be dated after April 15th, 2023

Calling all 7th graders! The W.E.B. program needs your awesomeness to help next year’s 5th graders have a totally awesome first year at HCMS. Fill out the W.E.B. leader Google Form application before next Friday, May 2nd. See Mrs. Dell or Miss Koch with any questions.

Last night's Tennis Match was cancelled, but they have a match in Pennfield tonight. Good Luck Tennis Players.
The boy's track team came home victorious last night after defeating the Pennfield Panthers a whopping 108 to 48. Connor O’Connell blazed down the track to win the 70-meter dash, then vaulted his way to the top in pole vault. Jamier Page exploded out of the blocks in the 200 meters, sprinting to 1st with a new personal best. Conner Asher followed closely behind in 2nd, also setting a personal record. Page wasn’t finished—he went on to post a career-best time in the 400, joined by Blake Kane and Jacob Gallagher who each ran their fastest races ever, snagging 2nd and 3rd.Cooper Monroe continued his distance dominance, cruising to victory in both the 800 and 1600, the mile with a brand-new personal best. Colin Alday also doubled up with third-place finishes in each, both his fastest times yet. In the 3200, Landan Jenkins brought home the win, and Lucas Russell earned 2nd, shaving time off his previous best. In the 100 meters, Brady Atton powered through to 2nd, then soared through the air in the long jump to snag another 2nd place spot with a personal record. Meanwhile, Jamier Page returned to earn 3rd in the long jump, and Stephan Mabry-Glass reached a new milestone with his farthest jump yet. Josiah Ruble was untouchable in the hurdles, taking 1st in both the 55m and 200m events—both his top times so far. Andon Elkins followed up strong, grabbing 2nd and 3rd with his own personal best in the 55. Colin Alday also posted his best hurdle time of the season. The relays were lightning quick. Harper Creek’s 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 teams dominated their races and crossed the line in 1st place. In the field events, Karsen Anderson launched the shot put over 30 feet for 1st place and a new career best. Elijah Stanton backed him up with a solid 3rd. In the high jump, Josiah Ruble cleared the bar at 4’4” to take 2nd. Across the board, personal bests were falling all night—from Max Larson in the 400, to Austin Converse in the 200, to Patrick Klein, who logged new top times in both the 400 and 800. The boys will face off against Coldwater and Parma Western next Thursday. Good luck!
Harper Creek Middle School Softball easily defeated Pennfield on Wednesday at Harper Creek Softball Field, 12-3 & 11-4. Game 1 - Jazmin Landenberger, Bess, Gibson Scroggins, Brynley Tooman, Riley Vaccaro, and Leelu Rutledge each collected one hit for Harper Creek Middle School. Bess, Gibson Scroggins, and Green each drove in one run for Harper Creek Middle School. Harper Creek Middle School had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Bontrager and Green led the team with two walks each. Vaccaro stole two bases. Game 2 - Harper Creek Middle School got on the board in the top of the first inning after Annabelle Shea singled, scoring two runs, and Peyton Bess doubled, scoring three runs. A single by Brynley Tooman extended the Harper Creek Middle School lead to 6-4 in the top of the second inning. Several girls had new opportunities playing on the infield, and Vanessa Basco had a key play at second with a big throw out at first. Your next chance to catch the Beavers in action is Monday at home at 4:30.
