Teacher and School Support Staff COVID-19 Grants (Hazard Payments) Available

The Michigan Department of Treasury recently released details for accessing one-time hazard payments for eligible teachers, support staff, and eligible personnel to acknowledge their extra effort during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This program was created by Public Act 166 of 2020Teacher and School Support Staff COVID-19 Grants Requirements. If you have not been notified but believe you should be eligible for the grant, you must file a written appeal to the Human Resources office by December 4, 2020.

After receiving an appeal, a final eligibility determination will be made. Written communication with the reason for ineligibility status for the grant will be sent by December 9, 2020.
